Wilfried and Oliver Visit Eastcape & Karoo Safaris from Austria
May 16, 2014
Wolfgang and Team joined EKS on Safari from Austria. We settled in at one of our luxury lodges. We had a few shots with the rifles in the afternoon to be ready for the next day’s hunting.
Wilfried and Oliver hunted together for the next 4 days. Day 1 was overcast with intermittent rain. While driving around and scouting for an impala, we spotted a herd of kudu from a distance. We set off with a plan, and after a lengthy stalk, we bumped this magnificent kudu bull. Wilfried put in a good shot with a 270 at approximately 50 yards. Good shot Wilfried!
After a light lunch we set off after a zebra for Oliver. The weather was not playing the game with it raining on and off. We persisted with our plan and after an interesting stalk we managed to get a shot at the zebra. Oliver took a perfect shot at approximately 160 yards and successfully hunted this zebra.
Days 2, 3 and 4 were challenging with the weather not being that great. But despite the weather, Wilfried hunted this impala and blesbuck. They were hunted with a 270, 150 grain over 90 yards.
